Duplicated track with a numbered suffix

I'm not sure why it has started doing this but occasionally it will create a file with a number on the end.

If you view it in Basecamp it is a longer segment of a journey that duplicates a shorter segment of a the same route. The time stamps are the same.

Has anyone else seen this happen or know why it does it?

I usually just have to work out which is the shorter duplicate and omit that from the selection before I join the tracks and create an adventure from the resulting single track.

I've noticed the same thing, but I've no idea why it happens. My old Zumo 220 does the same, so it is not a problem unique to the Nav V. As you say, it isn't a big issue.

Occurred to my that it might be when it's recording and I tap in a navigation destination. I'll see if I can replicate it. I had a good run around the lakes today and I did tap in a destination at one point. I won't know until I get a chance to hook it up to Basecamp

Its done it again. Nothing to do with having a destination set.

I travelled from a point in the Lakes to Forton Services and stopped for a coffee. I have a track that reflects this. I then travelled home. This is on a track appended with 001 and includes the previous segment. I have to deselect that previous segment when joining the tracks as it sees it as an orphaned section.
