Cheers Big D, not sure Guitarman would agree with you. See (B/Chat & Bo***cks).

Have put a call into the Research and development guy at the manufacturers of my Y-Piece and end can. Am goin to see what his comments are regarding my Dyno test results. Will post again when I`ve spoken to him.
:)

buy the BB chip, get a KN filter, bigger inlet snorkel, and the throttle body tubes from RS.
It will cost but its the best combination you can have for sporty performance.

Decided to get a dyno test following fitting a Y piece and end can.
The bike, A GSA was running sweet as a nut and sounding deep and powerfull when given a bit. The test was just for piece of mind really.

The testers (Rhencullen) opened the dyno cubicle and informed me that she was running "a bit lean"between 3 and 4.5 RPM.
He said that in his opinion no damage would occur at these levels but they were a bit lean, Air fuel ratio at these revs. was at 15.

Well, what should I do? The bike has never popped, banged, surged or anything. She goes like a good un. My second GS by the way.

What would you do.....?

Update....

The guy at Scorpion,my exhaust manufacturer, got back to me and said he was concerned also with regards the Dyno figures. It looks like the way forward is going to be to fit the TFi Fuel Controler.

He said to let him get a price from Techlusion and or M&P as they should get the bits cheaper. He added that they would then help by setting the bike up on their Dyno equipment.

Any thoughts on this approach chaps...?

i had a tfi and never got it to fuel right at low revs. fair to say, no one else seems to have had this problem or they've not checked it out properly.

got a BB chip now :thumb

I have had a TFi chip fitted for the past 22000 miles and it fuels OK right through the range (by the seat of the pants). Must get it dynoed one day and post the results.....

mine felt right too. i put a CO meter on it after i noticed soot on the LH indicator. it idled at 8%

BB site seems to have vanished. motorworks sell them.

2002 1150.Run it standard with the yellow ccp(30-87).On the whole the bike runs pretty well with no surging and the like, however when in europe(and hotter weather) in tends to run alarmingly hot ie 8 bars on the rid and thats in town also pinks like hell and thats using their superunleaded..Anyway, going to fit a y piece and keep standard silencer, unfortunately, this will make it run even leaner.Phoned tts today and they no longer do the techlusion stuff.anyone know where else I could get one?Would consider a bb chip if I knew exactly what it does to the fueling. Not really looking for more power although this would be a nice bonus, but more concerned about running it a bit richer. Can anyone answer my queries?

8 bars :yikes

AAMOI does your oil cooler get hot?

Cheers m8. If gcp reads this could you give me a email with a mobile or land line no to [email protected] pm as im not a sponser(Im a tite fisted bstd).
At 8 bars,I pull over and have a smoke, let her cool.Had the bike from new and im a mechanic to trade so only thing I can put it down to is running very lean.Yeah cooler gets a bit hotter.

i just wondered about the oil cooler 'cos the thermostat was missing a bit on mine from new AFAIK.

consequence was that the oil cooler was always out of circuit. never went up to 8 bars though.

Wot bit?Im curious now!

item 17 in this diagram was missing. it's a special washer that the thermostat [16] presses against when it gets hot.

thermostat body itself is the diverter valve to the oil cooler. if the washer is not there, no oil will go to cooler.
