I'm in the midst of starting up a new line to my business. This will probably entail an e-commerce setup.

For my sins, I get my domain names through UK2 and they seem to offer a reasonably priced e-commerce solution.

However......I'll need to set up a Merchant Account. The list of possibilities looks fairly long - Paypal, WorldPay, Google Checkout, Datacash, Moneris, Authorise, 2CO etc...

Does anyone have Wise Words to offer on the best way ahead? :nenau

Cheers m'dears.

(Not sure if Computer Help is the best place for this query, happy for a Mod-move if necessary).

We use Paypal, Worldpay and Protx. We're in the process of dumping Worldpay in favour of Protx, as Worldpay's charges are getting too high, and they're about to increase again.

You'll still need a merchant account (we use Barclays) in order to process online payments from Protx.

PS. Good luck if you ever try to move your domain names away from UK2
