Hi all

Looking for some advice...ive worn my 2015 hornet nearly out and deciding now whether i should replace her with another one of go for the schuberth e1. Ive heard the peak vibrates on the e1, but is removable...any arguements reviews appreciated!

Fwiw i run a mra screen on my 2013 gs lc and it just catches the back of the peak on the adv.

Ta

I wanted an e1 but I’m between sizes, so it was either loose or painful. Apparently this isn’t uncommon with Schuberth.

Trying them both on may make the decision for you.

The Adv fits like a glove and the e1 fits fine in showroom.

In that case, the flip-front and integrated comms on the e1 would seal the deal for me. I was disappointed when I had to accept my head was wrong for it.

Have you also considered an Arai Tour X4? I must admit I absolutely love mine. I have had a Hornet previously and the Arai is much more comfortable and the peak does not catch the wind like the Hornet did on my GS (Obviously this will differ bike to bike etc.)

I have a Shuberth C3 PRO which I have used every day for the past 4 years (and still do for commuting). It is a tad worn now but a great helmet. The Arai is in another league though for comfort though.

Just a suggestion.

Had an x3 but tbh looked class...sounded like 100% tinnitus lol

Thought of the c3 pro...then the neotec ii came to mind

E1 is very plush and comfy. Peak does shake a bit at speeds of 70mph+ but I wear custom plugs do it never really bothered me. However, I didn’t reattach it correctly one time and it blew off do been using it without the peak for the last few months. The internal sun visor is nice but I miss the peak now the low winter suns are returning. I like the buckle chin strap of the E1 too it’s much easier. The clear visor ratchet is a bit loose so it doesn’t stay open on the move but that might just be mine, it does seal well though. It is a very quiet helmet compared to other flip ups I’ve had and way more comfy. It’s easy to flip up and close. I love my E1 but they are pricey. Especially if you want a new visor or peak. Luckily I got mine used (like new) from an inmate on this forum.

The Arai X4 is good too but it’s not a flip up, it has a D-Ring, the peak doesn’t vibrate but does catch the wind. They’re comfy but mines probably a size bigger than it should be.

Tried on an e1 today and the fit was very plush. I reckon ill pull the pin soon. Thanks all for the posts
