Easier way to switch hazard flashers on

When you are braking hard to avoid a tailback in front of you, the last thing you want to do is to try and find the hazard warning light switch near the left handgrip.

Instead, press both indicator switches at the same time and lo and behold, the indicators flash in unison, hazard style. The only difference is that the red hazard switch doesn't flash at you. To switch them off, press the hazard switch as usual.

I found this out by accident when trying to emulate Shrek2's method of manually-operated wig-wag indicating on his R11½GS.

Don't know about the other Beemers, but holding down both indicator switches at the same time on the R1100RT would activate the indicators, hazard style. But from memory, I think they stopped blinking on one side when you stopped holding the switches. The cancel button could then be used to cancel the blinking.
