Actually Mr Snotty, it is being ridden on a regular basis now thanks :nono

But on the other hand, prehaps you could be persuaded to attend your local West Midlands meeting which is right on your door step.

Errr I was at the last one, where were you?, in fact we had a record turn out last time out....news of your impending absence was obviously leaked:D

Can I give my apologies for tonight, sadly I am unable to make it.

Anyway - back on topic, is there going to be a WM tossers get together this weekend???????:thumb2

I can see Mutleys point. The guys done more off road than many of us and yet gets the piss taken and some quite shitty comments. I've raced with David Knight but I don't shout about it (probably cause he did 17 more laps than me on a 5 mile circuit :D :D :D ).

I personally won't be going on the ride either because I don't want to wreck my bike. I'd go on the Husaberg but it's not allowed. So we have the equivalent of bike racism too.

My brother Sycomoto will go because he's a loon and doesn't worry about wrecking his bike. Fine if you can afford it but I can't.

Reading between the lines I think this will turn into a competition of who is daft enough to "have a go".
Original post abou the first ride was good, but the whole thing has gone off track into a chest beating session.

No matter how good you think you are, you're not famous for your riding ability, and others are!!!!!

How true. :clap

If you want to do it, then just do it. But don't puff your chest out and then tell the world how good you are/were at riding off road?

Nothing more than a willy waving session.

I personally admire those who say "no" more than those that say yes just to save face and are then way out of their riding depth and knowledge.

Other than to provide light entertainment for others when they dump the bike. :spitfire

I have seen it all before with the TRF over the years. New guy joins the group, then he gets taken somewhere that you know will be tricky for him.

End result, he drops his bike, gets totally pissed off, leaves group never to be seen again.

:(

some of the comments that I put weren't meant that way, it's just my piss poor communication skills
just for the record, I have marginally above zero off road ability and I assure you it is very marginal
I did buy the bike to ride off road though
It won't turn into a race, although some people do take the piss on the forum it certainly isn't like that when we are out on the road
people do what they think they can or find an alternative route, there is no pressure and fun is usually had by all
I have pm'd an explanation and apology to mutters but it won't be going on open forum

it was just a bit of banter that got out of hand, that's it, the last thing we need is a west mid forum divided into us and them

Order! Order! :topic

Ok back on topic (sigh:mmmm) Is there going to be a tarmac only ride out this weekend....?

Anybody up for it? Sensible answers only please...I thang you.

Where and when then your snootiness.I've only got the HP2 at the moment,so Sundays going to be getting it ready for Monday, but Saturday is fine by me,as long as you don't mind me stopping at every other petrol station all day:thumb

could be , the GS may be on tkcs but if my leg is out of cast I wouldn't mind getting some tarmac riding done, may even tempt swmbo if the weather is ok

as with vern though, monday is out

Rob

I'm testing a 1200 over the weekend so could do with a bit of tarmac exercise preferably on Sunday, as the Mrs wants to do something different on Monday. (Not sure what thats going to intale, so may yet join in on Monday:-):wife
