Just to let anyone know who doesn't.

The Eastern Lights Motorcycle Cavalcade id this Sunday (30th).

At least 1000 bikes will ride from the Thickthorn Park & Ride (A47/A11 jctn) to Lowestoft via Gt. Yarmouth. £6 entry with all proceeds going to James Paget Hospital.

Its an amazing sight with bikes of all shapes and sizes from Honda C90's to Harleys and trikes. It usually takes 25 minutes to go past a point which gives you an idea how long the line is (2 abreast).

This will be my 5th year and the atmosphere is excellent.

The bikes leave Norwich @ 12 so if you're interested you need to get there by about 11:30.

A bit 'otanswetty' but an excellent day.

I was very near the back with my bruvver on 30 year old Triumph Tiger.

There was everything from a velocette, a vespa and a honda 90 to a Fireblade, a harley and of course a GS.

Apparently 1400 bikes took part at £6 per head (at least) and it took us over 2 hours to get to Lowestoft.

Excellent job by the boys in blue and a lot of money to the local hospital. Hundreds of people lining the route all thinking us bikers are jolly good eggs.

All in all and excellent day.

As a finale, apparently £8000 went to James Paget Hospital and one point (for those that know it) the Acle straight was 'full' of bikes. They were still pulling onto the road in Acle as the first bikes were pulling off (and thats 8.5 miles long!). My wife timed us coming into Lowestoft and it was 40 mins from first to last bike.

Maybe next year we could have GS section?

The date hasn't been sorted yet but it will definately be taking place.
