Hi my Scottish and touring friends its time for our annual pilgrimage to the great Highlands of Scotland. Two places we've never stayed in before Mallaig and Thurso and looking for your recommendations for good eating houses in both places. Thanks and looking forward to your insights rather then relying on Trip Advisor!!! Slainte!!

I'll have a look on Street view and remember some names!
Both places are often described as dumps but, like anywhere, you'll find a decent pint and grub

Been to Mallaig. Ate at the Tea Garden while waiting for a ferry it was pretty nice. Enjoy the "road to the isles" it was empty, fun and fast as I remember it.

Had fish & Chips in Mallaig last year which were nice, I only saw the one chippy, the bread and cake shop overlooking the marina do some very nice buns, cakes & coffee for the journey or to eat when watching the Harry Potter train arrive.
