My advise is to stick with oem one's :thumb

I've just gone to ABM discs front and rear. I don't have any miles on them yet, but they're much lighter than stock (these are SS versus cast), look nicer (a minor plus), and appear to be much better quality than the stock discs. Came highly recommended by a fellow at my shop who's opinion I highly regard.

I considered Galfer as well, but they're less well-known around here, so I didn't get much input one way or another.

Good luck, and let us know how you make out!

regarding the Abm disc, is it straight fit or need modification to fit to the carrier?

Hi steptoe,What is the price of the disc and what material is it made of?

thought I'd add my two pennies worth...
I've been running the Galfer wave disc front and backfor about 6-months and so far have been really impressed. Yep, they look cool and they stop the bike in a controlled and reliable way.

We travel off-road alot and the pads and disc's haven't got gumped up once, which goes someway to prooving out their claims off the wave being better at self cleaning.

It's worth mentioning that I'm running the 'harder'...pads, which I've been warned will wear harder on the disc but they do a great job pulling up my fully loaded 1100GS.

hope that helps.
Cheers
