Been using Eggz motorcycle ear plugs for nigh on a year now, and they have proved to be the best I have ever used. For me, they are so comfortable, even on long hot tour days. They supply two sizes in the pack, but you can request two other sizes if you have extra large, or tiny lug holes.
They allow just the right level of sound to pass through them. I have no issues with hearing nav instructions, music, or calls, even at motorway speeds, with my Shoei SRL2.

May not be for everyone, but perfect for me.

good recommendation. I have been using the Oxford filterbuds which look exactly the same for the last year and like those too.

I've just purchased the Pinlock version which also comes in two sizes.

they are all a noted improvement over 'squishy' plugs

I’ve not used the Oxford ones, but have used the Pinlock ones when they first came out. I found them ok, but not as good as the Alpine Motosafe ones which replaced them. The Eggz suit me better than both of them.

I've never used earplugs, although I have thought about it.
I've always felt it would dampen my senses when in traffic for some reason, probably wrongly.
also sat nav and comms issues.

I will have to try some and see how I feel about it.

Edit:
I just looked up the Eggz on Amazon and wow, I've been educated!
I thought earplugs blocked all sound, it seems they are sound filters... very clever.
i honestly never knew this.
Also a UK company which is nice.
