Either My Helmets Shrunk or My Head's Got Bigger

I have a BMW System 6 helmet complete with bluetooth setup so that my sat-nag can talk to me when she rides pillion!

I've had it for a couple of years from new and it was (emphorsis on the was)a perfect fit but for whatever reason it's just a little too tight and it gives me a headache even on the shortest of runs.

Of course, if I had any hair I could shave it off and I'm certain that would fix the problem but as I don't this is not an option.

Any ideas/suggestions gratefully received?

Hmmmmm, I had thought of that, as well as any particular time of day but.... No! Doesn't seem to make any difference.

Have you been thinking about buying a new Weenerhead, it would seem owners of these worry a lot and that would cause your head to swell... You may be showing early symptoms

I had a helmet which became tight over my ears for some reason, took the liner out and (carefully!) shaved the polystyrene off with a Stanley knife, no problems since.

Dont know how close if at all a system 6 is to a shuberth C2 but ive had a similar problem. Some days I can ride all day without a problem, others after an hour I got an ache becoming increasingly painful, kept shifting the lid from side to side for momentary relief, the pain was at the top of the forehead.
I tried keeping the lid warm, keeping it at ambient temperature, cut a bit of the webbing back, pressed the polystyreen with a spoon all to no avail. Its a great helmet.

My final solution - Shoei neotech still quiet enough , and no pressure points
