hi all,

has anyone has experience of a cheapy rider>pillion intercom?? i am looking at the autocom 200 but ill wait until they sort themselves out and finally release a digital version.... in the meantime for the occasional riding with SWMBO something cheap will do as long as it works.... any ideas??

i do have a set of pmr446 radios but i think its a bit overkill for about 30cm distance

Try interphone, I use mine for bike to bike. 300-500 metres.

Easy to fit, but is advertised for bike/pillion as well.

When travelling we could still converse when my companion went into shops, garages and hotels, made security easy.

As it works on bluetooth, no wires and it is also a hands free for the mobile and gps

It gave good reception at over 70mph.

Gives about 4 hour use but if you get used to turning off when not neccessary, it lasts all day with practice. Comes with univesal charger.

No linkage with company, bought it last year at NEC

I have a set of these and they are good at what they do. I getting rid of them in the new year though as I'll be getting the new scala rider q2. Only reason is that I can hear both the gps and the girlfriend rather than having to connect on the fly. The scala site is as follows.

Hope this helps.

I have an Autocom 200 kit somewhere around the place. My other half decided she preferred peace and quiet after two days use. There is one partly frayed wire (still connected, but could do with a repair). You can have the kit for £50 plus postage.

Swiss Rob has claimed dibs on the Autocom, and we're negotiating a charge for me delivering it to Switzerland! Below is a photo of the damaged lead that I was too incompetent to PM...
