Hi all,

Electrical question for those in the know (obviously not me)

Underside of the seat on the right hand side just inside frame rail. Above the connector block for the rear brake light. There is what appears to be a two pin square female socket.

What’s it for? And is it isolated by the ignition? :(

Checked the manual and it shows it but doesn’t mention it in the text. Is it for auxiliaries or what?

You knowledge would be of help. :)

Cheers

I'm sure this is for the American market; it's a connector for the carbon-filter fuel-vapour recycling thingy. Strange breed, these Yanks!!

Yep, it's our fault. Actually it's the wacko's in the Peoples Republic of Kalifornia that forced us with this excess weight device.

Thanks guys,
I new it would be for something really useful .

Is it isolated by the ignition?

I mean could I use it as a power supply for say an intercom system via a compatible plug to save splicing into the rear tail light?

Any thoughts? (on this subject, not, I’d rather be riding on a warm road with the sun on my back etc ……, don’t we all wish!! Kalifornia cousins excepted who no nothing else, not bitter!!! :()
