Emails and Apple products - synchronisation between devices

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing so I want to check before I make the change:

I have an iPhone, and iPad and a Macbook. In addition my main email address is hosted on Absolute Email and I access it through POP3 on all three devices.

My understanding is that if I move all three to IMAP then a deleted mail on one item will also disappear from the other 2?

Also if I drag an email into a folder on the Mac / Phone / iPad then it will be saved (my folders are actually on The Cloud so they'll all see it)?

Well there you go, if you fiddle around enough sometimes you can answer your own questions

I've converted all 3 to IMAP accounts and it all appears to work just fine.

I used IMAP Exchange on the McBook Pro because it's supposed to sync contacts and calendars better. It doesn't seem to be an option on the iPhone4 and iPad1, but it appears that standard IMAP is compatible
