My left hip was replaced in 1978 @ age 29


Leg Calf Perthes disease.
My right hip was replaced and femur extention of 2" performed in 2000 @ 51 years old

I was back on my bikes within 8 weeks of the ops


My left hip is going to be replaced in Oct/ Nov this year as its got enough play as to fail the MOT now...
The Original Charnley type had an expected life of 15 years so i've doubled that

The New ones are Exeter hips
