i have the touratech engine/fairing bars fitted to mine

they are easy to fit, look pretty good, i got mine for "a good price" on fleabay

no idea how good they are in a crash though thankfully i havent had to find out.............................

I wouldnt waste my money on the TT ones, Mine cracked and broke off lol. I know others where this has happenned too... As for an alternative, I just got some throw over tank bags lol...

Sorry to poopoo the TT ones but they just dont look strong, and IMO aren't.

i seem to remember you posting photos of yours (broken), about a fortnight after i bought mine!!

however, i dont offroad mine, and if i drop it on tarmac its odds on i'll be going too quick for them to count for much anyway

so they are for the bling factor as much as anything else!

There was much discussion on the apparently crappyness of the fairing bars on http://www.f650.com .

I think the SW-motech ones are good looking but again I don't know how good they are. So far in my offs I have not had any engine damage and I dont have bars.

However I do have a used BMW set of bars which I could part with. PM me for photos etc.

BMW bars in the photo have been bashed whilst off roading a few times. They only ever seem to collect grass/mud etc and have never bent in any way.

The bike in the pic went down the road at 25mph after T boning a courier in London (Previous owner I hasten to add) and only suffered a scuffed rear exhaust guard, slight scratching to the tank, and a broken front indicator as of a result of the bike sliding down the road. However the actual impact caused; bent fork stanchions, bottom yoke, bent fairing sub frame, bent front axle and broke the headlight.

The moral of the story is; Don't hit anything if you doo fall off :augie

Val.

PS: I don't think your going to find any stronger bars that the BM ones.
