Engine Bars

Im looking to purchase a set of engine bars for a R1150GS, not sure which would be the best ones to purchase, any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

They all do the same job.I put on the hepco & Becker in 2002 when I got the 1150 new. Main reasons is coz I liked the look. My brother had some on his r850r. Ive never had problems taking rocker covers off and if doing an alternator belt on the 11xx,I just take the middle nut and bolt out and pull the bars slightly out and the cover drops out easily(providing the allen screws are undone). If you dont fancy eng bars,streptoe does some nice headguards. Really depends on what you like the look of on your particular bike.Have a look at the pictures of different bikes with different bars/headguards on this site and just go with what you like the look of.You may get others sayin this is better than that and that is better than this but like I say they all do the same job.

Had H & B's on my 1150, they saved any damege to the bike when dropped a couple of times at low speed, more than can be said for the BMW bars on my 1200!
