Ok, now my bikes finally arrived, wheres the best place to buy
some Hepco and becker bars?
I've heard Motobins is about the cheapest?
Cheers
Ian

Ian,
When ordering remember these bars come in 2 x colours - chrome or powder coated black - these (black ones) have a tendancy to 'scratch' quite easily.
They also come in engine or petrol tank/headlight protection so make sure you know what you want. (Engine bars at about £90.00 - tank/light bars at about £50.00) Motorworks advertise these as a 'set' but will sell seperately.
This will take you into Motorworks:

I've used them a lot - excellent service and advice always given.
(They always cough up with prizes for club events as well!)
Hope this helps - welcome to the club by the way!

I'm glad you're thinking of getting the Hepco & Becker bars - that means I can see how easy you've managed to fit them, and what they look like before I do the same!
Regards,
Charles

Hello Charles u seem to pop up everywhere...Wait till u see my seat I'm gonna get made;)

Ian
It can't possibly look as good as the yellow & black one on my Adventure - unless it's a black or charcoal grey seat with blue piping to match your graphics?!

Charles

Wunderlich bars

I had black HB bars on a previous bike (Tiger) and the paint was very fragile.

I have fitted Wunderlich bars to my GS and unwillingly tested them this week - a Jeep Cherokee body checked me. I didn't come off but have his blue paint and rubber on the bars, rocker cover etc. All came off with T-Cut and there isn't even a scratch on the Wunderlich bars.

A rare occasion where the bike came off best!

Typical, the week after I order some black H&B's I read this thread about the paint scratching and cracking easily. I went for the black as I read some time ago about it being easier to touch up than chrome. Wish I'd gone for the others now.

Ordered them from motorworks, shouldn't they have arrived by now?

Also has anyone fitted the tank/headlight bars from H&B?, I've only looked at pictures but they look a bit ugly.:)

Well, my H&B bars just arrived today...they look excellent quality stuff! (chrome and shiny)
Phoned my mate with the 'tools'..comming round tmorrow to help fit them...Told im the instructions were in German (:) :D )..he said that makes it even more interesting..I just love optimists:)
(Didnt tell im about the printed instructions from ere)

Charles hoping to make it. (moffat)
BTW when you get your GS adv are u going to change your name to cgsadv?:p
