Has anyone had any problems putting H&B crash bars back on ??
The bolts through the top of the footrest hangers don't want to go back in it looks as if something is out of line in the tube were the bolt threads in.
Sending them for powder coating but can see some problems putting them back on!!

Put a jack under the gearbox to make sure the threaded hole lines up else you may run the risk of cross threading the bolt.

I'll try that next time I put them back on .....Problem is I have already knackered one of them from last time.
My son can clean it up and rethread for me

When I take my HB engine bars off for whatever reason, I jam the plastic box that my 1/2" drive socket set came in under the back tyre, it`s a tight fit and lifts the back of the bike just a smidgen, which is what you want because then the rear end dosent drop when you remove the bolt/s. A piece of wood would! Do the same thing.
