Been to the west coast and just got back to notice a rather nasty stone chip in the cylinder head. The engine coating has come off and I was wondering if this could be treated. Can you get a touch up pen for this or am I just being an arse and keep the chipped weathered look and soon the whole engine will look this way anyway?

Do you mean the cylinder head or the rocker covers?, if it is the latter it is a simple job to get them shotblasted and powder coated as I have done.

Yes sorry I meant the rocker cover, I never thought of powder coating. I have only had the bike for 6 weeks and I hate to see blemishes like this. If I get another one then I wouldn't mind so much.

harley davidson sell an exhaust paint that is rough finish in black. mask it up and spray it on, this gear looks amazing. may only suit certain colour bikes but a really nice finish and very diffrent effect to anyone else

Ride it don't hide it. GS's tend to wear their blemishes with pride, least that's what i think
