Hello!

Is there any engine oil that not fits the f650gs -01. I have the Castrol RS4t in stock at home, does that work. I have a small feeling that I have read somewher that no syntetic oil should not be used. Is this right or can I use the Castrol 10-60 with syntetic components?

I think the recommendation to avoid synthetic oil only applies to the boxer twin engine in the early part of its life.

Your Castrol R4 should be fine for the F650: especially if topping up.

However, the F650 is hardly a sophisticated engine so I would use a less sophisticated and cheaper oil for a full oil change. As the F650 has a wet clutch use a motorcycle specific oil that meets the JASO MA standard. In the UK I would use something like Castrol GP http://www.castrol.com/castrol/productdetailmin.do?categoryId=9003131&contentId=6030473 but I've no idea what is avaialble to you in Sweden.

Okey, than its cool when I know that the CAstrol RS4t is better than the GPS wich I alsow have in stock :-)

Wessie! I'm terrible sorry, I dont know how I did but I missed your post and only read komatis post! Great info!

Thanks to you guys for helping me with this question!

Why I use the better and more expensive oil like the RS4T is because I bought them from Louis.de where they had a good price on that oil.

Just to make stuff clear, the oilchange on a f650gs -01 should be changed at 10000km intervalls? Am i right?
