Hi anyone painted the engine on a gs 1100 / if so what paint did you use ?

I've touched up minor scratches on my silver engined 1150 using silver Smoothrite. seems to take the heat all right on the rocker covers.

i am looking to repaint both sides of the bike inlcuding the rockers but would hammerite be able to cope with th heat further down below ?

YES... it copes exceptionally well.. not done this myself but have seen it on another 1100 and it looked great.

I spray mine with smoothrite instead of washing it
