Not sure if this is the sign of something nasty about to happen.

Every so often over the past few days, the bike has decided not to start when I press the button. It takes three or jour presses before it then fires into life as if nothing is wrong. When it doesn't fire, there's no sound at all, the engine doesn't even turn. Also no warning lights of any kind.

It usually happens in the morning, but then again, not every morning.

Any ideas?

Non start

Sounds like battery or possibly dirty contacts on the terminals.

Dodgy kill switch? I had one though I didn't notice any early warnings; it just stopped!

I'd look at the battery connections first.

As it's a German bike the torque loading of the bolts holding the cables on is "Gut un tight" In English, 2 white knuckles :augie

.... "Gut un tight" .....

I thought that's what you asked for when on a night out on the Reeperbahn.... ???

Anyroads, mine very occasionally does this - I just switch off and on completely and it just 'works...

I put it down to dodgy software....... Perhaps the latest software update will solve it ???

You might be right. Though it would be a bit odd given that the bike is almost 3 years old, has 28k on the clock and has only started doing this in the last 10 days or so! :nenau

Will check battery connections (and do the WD40 thang).

Ah! Mines done it from new, 11 months ago. Same fault, different cause, perhaps.....
