Eprom chip!

Just had delivery of a shiny new eprom chip for my 1100, all is well except for the fact that the instructions are in German!
Can any one give me a quick rundown of how to put a new one in, cause my German isn't what it used to be!
I can understand how to get the motronics box out, but once open where does the new chip go and how will i know which one to remove?

Eprom chip !

Disconnect unit. and remove screws. Prise open carefully as its also sealed with silicone....( now ure supposed to rub ure hands on a copper pipe to remove electrostatic or wear anti electrostatic gloves ) and remove the original multi pin chip and replace with the new Eprom !....reseal and reconnect !!

Cheers for the help, that's tomorrows job lined up. Didn't know that about the copper pipe? sounds a wee bit strange? but nothing ventured...... as they say.

Theres a little cut out at the end of the chip...make sure the new one is put in the correct way around as well. I have one on my 1100 and it does make a difference for sure.... Fuel is the same consumption wise so no loss there

Don't forget that the first time you turn the ignition on, before starting the engine, open the throttle fully three time to reset the Motronics.
