When making copies of documents it only offers the choice of photographic papers: glossy, ultra glossy, prem. semiglossy but no plain paper option. I've also tried setting plain in the Setup menu in the Home screen, but when I go back to the Copy mode the plain paper option has disappeared, it's as if it's determined to only copy photographs rather than just a document, the quality is certainly very good but it takes a total of about three minutes a copy.

There's nothing in the instruction leaflet or on the Epson website and I've tried Googling but no luck, any suggestions, please? :)

I've got a 322, but I can't help with paper settings, as I've not used the copy function. Slightly longer winded, but you could use an iPhone app called camscanner, email the docs to yourself as a pdf and then do them as a plain paper print?

Cheers, I could do that if I only had the occasional document to copy but as it is I'm selling my late mum's house and have a huge number of documents to copy so I might as well bite the bullet and get this sorted now. Actually it's only a few weeks old it may be that I can take it back. :)

Hell's Bells!

Just spoken to the Epson Customer Support (or something like that), was told that the lack of the Plain Paper option was due to the fact that the printer was set at the Default Options when it left the factory and that I would have to go to the Setup option, and select the WITH BORDER option and then all should be well. Bloody hell, it's meant to be a home copier, surely it ought to be able to copy a document as well as photographs on plain paper without all this fannying about?

I'm sure I'd never have found out how to do it without the aid of the Helpdesk, how bloody annoying.
