For sale is my 2021 Eriba Nova 470 Light caravan due lack of use since purchase. Our domestic commitments mean we can now only enjoy short periods away from home, and limited opportunities to do so
We were very lucky to originally find this van for sale, as from research I believe it’s one of three in the UK with this layout. We love the fact that there is a generous seating area inside, and the beds are ready made to sleep in without messing around with cushions etc (i.e. proper slatted beds or one giant bed)).
We bought the van from a dealer, and we were told the one previous owner used it once before deciding she wanted a tiny tiny caravan instead. As such, with her non-use, and our 4 weeks use since purchase 18 months ago, the van remains as new.
It’s a three-berth caravan, with two fixed beds, and the lounge are that can be made into another large bed – we never have.
From the front backwards, some of the key features are:
Alko lock hitch lock with near unused new pads.
Premium Jockey wheel with weight indicator
Large front locker with a nearly full gas bottle / unused spare tyre / waste water container / levelling ramp / chocks i.e. all you need to use the van.
All windows double skinned and multi point opening. with retractable mosquito nets and black out blinds factory fitted.
Internally, it really is a design masterpiece that maximises the space available throughout the van
It comes fully equipped. An ice cold 3-way fridge with a freezer compartment is under worktop area. The cupboard inside has power from a twin UK socket (with USB for device charging) There are also 5 240V UK sockets throughout the van. No oven, however the airfyer essentially makes them redundant anyway!
The bathroom has a modern electric flush loo and cassette emptying (accessed externally), and another sink with hot / cold water. The shower room / toilet is pretty tiny to be fair (i.e. no cat swinging), though sufficient for what you need - we have always stayed on a campsite and used the site showers even though the van shower works fine.
Truma Ultra Heat thermostatic heating system again runs off gas or 240v – or both. This is switchable to draw either 500w, 1000w or 2000w from the 240v hook-up. Very useful if campsite supply is restricted.
There is an onboard water tank, a real benefit in winter as no more frozen external tanks. The option to connect externally to an aqua roll if preferred.
The seats, as well as the beds lift up to access a vast amount of storage space in each. One side is also accessible via the large external locker opening.
MRO is 1100KG, so most cars can tow it. Its Alko chassis was factory uprated to 1500 kg, which gives you nearly 400kG to use for your food and clothes for – so plenty of spare capacity for any wine and beer or whatever you want!! In fully laden camping trim for us (clothes / food etc) it weighed 1200kg.
Due to the longer A frame chassis, it tows far better than UK caravans - there is also a twin Thule bike rack fitted.
Its fully winterised for all year-round use, and made using decent quality materials that don’t feel flimsy! Google Hymer / Eriba construction techniques to give you an idea as to how much better they are
All lights are LED fitted so the onboard battery (new last year) should last a fair while if you are not hooked up. Wooden flooring and also factory fitted carpets.
If you have researched Hymer Eriba caravans, you know they are bulletproof. We actively sought this model out having had a new 470 amongst other Hymers in the past
Multi point opening windows and large skylight (adjustable) for maximum ventilation in hot weather
Not smoked in, no pets, and not been used as a static van.
New fully automated Alko Mammut Motor movers were fitted last year, following the caravan purchase– good ones with a soft start feature to allow easy connection to your car and also provide enough guts to manage inclines. They automatically engage to the wheel at the push of a button so no wrenching around with levers.
Tyres have good tread as hardly used. The chassis is the galvanised low M chassis, so these are the factory fit movers that don’t impact on ground clearance
Externally, paint is as new, and I had it professionally ceramic coated last year too.
Fully serviced upon purchase, so another could be done by your preferred agent for your own peace of mind.
Also included is a poled porch awning – used but never by us.
In my opinion, this van is nigh on perfect for a couple and will accommodate more if you fit an awning. it’s in great condition. Beautiful German quality construction and it all works!
A number of packages add Ons were included in the original purchase spec:
Elegance Pack
Multimedia Pack – eg Bluetooth stereo / TV point and bracket
Moving Pack
Uprating to 1500kg cost option
Alloy wheel upgrade
Jockey wheel, draw bar cover, and Support feet pack
Mosquito door pack
Roller bed slats (to make one giant bed)
Shower and curtain pack
If you add all the extras fitted to the base price, new cost is touching 38k now.
In summary, this is a superb German quality-built caravan, and should give you many years of enjoyable trouble-free holidays.
My asking price is £18750 – or the equivalent in Euro if you wish to buy from abroad.
Delivery could be an option following payment if you have not got your tow car yet.
Loads more photo’s available if wanted
I think I have covered most of it – if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask. – thanks - Alex
