Whilst riding back from Yorkshire yesterday, folllowing preloaded routes in my 660, I constantly received these messages on the Garmin screen;

This application is not supported

The USB lead is connected to the wrong port

I sometimes used to get the latter and it always cleared itself quite quickly but both would not go away until I'd hit the 'OK' button on the screen. The messages were appearing every 20/30 seconds which made the unit almost unusable.

Any ideas or suggestions gratefully received...

I can't help you with the solution to the problem, but my 660 started doing that one day - then stopped doing it. I still have no idea why.:nenau

There is a post on here a few years ago about this which I found when a similar problem happened to my 660. The problem is caused by moisture getting into the mini USB connector for the traffic receiver. Just dry out the connecter and seal up the open end with waterproof tape or silicon, I've not had a problem since.

Battery

My BMW Navigator IV suffered all sorts of bizarre error messages until I changed the batteries
