Errr I'm new here please be genial (anyone know about Laser exhausts ?)

Hi everyone,

Had bikes since I was 16 ( don't ask ) and despite having owned and toured Europe severl times on a K75C have ,according to y friend Gordon, purchased a real BMW, an R1150GS in fact.

It's been quite a revelation to me - it want's to turn corners and it's really confidence inspiring - I just wish that they would stop spreading salt all over the roads and let me get on with riding.

Anyway - you guys know all this stuff already

First question to anyone out there - the bike has a laser exhaust - is this why the bike is so thirsty ? it does about 45/gallon on a good day

I would say that mileage is about right for an 1150, once the salt has gone you`ll really enjoy putting the miles in "the more the miles the bigger the smiles"
