This is probably in the forum somewhere. I have the dosh, I have the desire and I'm about to buy my first BM after many years of 'I'm not old enough' and riding sports bikes. I'm going to get a 1200GSA. I've test ridden a 2008 one with ESA fitted and really liked it as it works really well.

How difficult is the adjustment on a non ESA bike for a numpty. EAS fitted bikes give littler piccies of people and bags where as when I read the threads it seems a bit of a trick to get it right on a manual one.

I will ride solo 30%, two up 60% and loaded two up 10% or thereabouts.

A lot don't have it fitted, but look very nice bikes in the 2007 / 08 age range. Should I wait for one with lots of buttons and lights or just get one whatever.

P.S.

Is the 2008 bike and it's revised gearbox much better than the 2007 version or are they fine?

Cheers

Bob
