Can someone explain to me in plain English what the ESA setting are doing? One helmet is normal, 1 plus luggage I take it the rear preload is increased a little? Two helmets means Full preload on the rear and an increase on the front?? :nenau
Whats the difference between the off an on road settings? If I was to give my big fat mate a life to a party slong with two panniers full of beer would I be better off selecting one of the off road settings?

I've done a search but couldn't find fuck all on the subject.

Cheers

Mike

Just found this:

So, the helmets and hills set the preload, and the comfort/normal/sport set the damping.

I'm normally on 1 helmet with normal.
Sometimes go to comfort, on bumpy motorways, but soon notice it if I hit a roundabout at speed.

Never had the need to change the preload, though do cycle though them at least once a month.
"Super hilly" can add 4 inches to the hight of the bike, so will also raise the center of gravity.

I hope that helps.

Dont accidentally hit the tall off-road setting when you have the seat on high and a funny camber to deal with. Thank goodness I had my mate to catch me when I did that.

Ive just been using mine on the highest setting with soft damping. It handles fine and gives a great view but really is a stretch to the floor. The smaller hills setting actually felt more supple then the high hills setting.

PS My falling off today was pure driver error and would have happened on any suspension setting. I got it crossed up and mud with the wrong tyres did the rest.
