The New Year dawns, she's awake far too early, far too excited.
She has some new socks.

Almost ready.

Come on Ange, a bit of ice in the puddles doesn't mean it's 'that' cold......

A bit of left hand down would help

Looking a bit wet there dearest....

Shame

Oh dear, that'll teach you to get me up so early

Let's see how those new socks are holding out

She sits in the sunshine drying herself asking why I didn't point out the bridge beforehand

Well it's hardly hidden, is it?

I'd promised to take her somewhere special for lunch for New Years day

No complaints about the view though

Ooh another little stream for Ange's socks

Oh oh, looks like cold wet feet again

Is that a smile?

Looks like wifey has wet feet again

She's freezing cold now and wondering why her expensive new socks aren't keeping her feet warm and dry

Deja vu

We wait while feet are dried...again

With freezing wet feet she sets off again

Looking happy though

Her foot take another good muddy dunking

C'mon Ange, no time for lounging around

Later in the day it was a long ride home. Ange couldn't feel her feet.

Eventually back at home Ange wrings her socks out as I take my own boots off.
"Why have you got carrier bags on your feet she said and why do you wear your trousers on the outside of your boots?"
Sometimes it's best to say nothing
