I am planning to travel around Europe for a couple of weeks next year on the Beast. So far all I have decided is to go over to Calais, travel through the centre of France to the Massif Central, then aim for Bordeaux; into Pamplona, Spain, through Andorra; along the south coast of France (Marseille, Nice, Monaco) up into Austria and over the Grosslockner Pass. Head home through Germany. Estimated total distance within Europe mainland is 3000 miles to be done in15/16 days. Have not thought about accommodation or route in detail or even if this is too ambitious. As daily mileage averages out at 150 miles a day I don't think this is too much.
What I would like is for some company though. I am not worried if we change the route, especially if someone has done this before and knows any great places to visit etc. Will happily camp or use cheap hotels.
So if anyone wishes to join me then that will be excellent. You can send me an email if you think this is your cup of tea, and we can then arrange to meet up to sort out any details.
I look forward to riding the roads with you next year or sooner.
Mind out for the idiots n metal boxes.
