I am riding the 1200 over to Luxembourg from London on 2nd April. The following weekend I have a free couple of days, so I intend to tour the Bordering countries (4 countries in one day is the challenge). Anyone else in the area fancy joining me?

Have you thought about the Harz area, its the right part of Germany for you. Cracking rural roads and some lovely scenery. It was recommended to me last year. Spent 1 day riding through it, on the way to the WWII rocket site at Mittelbau Dora, Nordhausen, but wish I could have stayed a bit more.ktm520 said:

hello could do worse than nip up to trier and follow mosel up to koblenz , castles good scenery and if you have time great beer/ wine, another day try riding down rhine gorge , how about the nurbrgring, 40 miles west of koblenz, everywhere around here are great biking roads, so enjoy it

Pissing Rain
Left Essex 530 am. Rode to Folkstone in the pissing rain.
Got to Folkstone stood in the queue in the pissing rain. 645 to 7 am.
Entered France in the pissing rain.
Rode across Belgium in the pissing rain.
Arrived in Luxembourg 1130am in the pissing rain.
600km in the pissing rain, there more water in my boot than from standon ford.

I have an appartment in the centre of Luxembourg City so I'll head to Trier then take it from there.

I stayed in Larochette for a couple of weeks several years ago, and spent a bit of time in Luxembourg city. What a great place.
