Setting it up (rear seat off and found purpose built extra carrier underneath :thumb2)

Just waiting for the extra driving lights, centre stand (yes, don't come with one!) and crash bars

Happy days.......

Nice one :thumb

I see you bought the model without the electronic suspension setup. I did the same. I haven't had the rear seat off yet, didn't know about that extra carrier.

A word of advice though, keep an eye on the spoke tension. I had one come loose and it damaged my hugger. I'm getting the wheel rebuilt under warranty next week.
I have a feeling that the spoke tension hadn't been checked at PDI or perhaps the initial 600 mile service.

Did you get it from Chorley/Wigan Yamaha?

Yep, didn't want the electronic suspension as happy enough with manual. Only two bolts to get rear seat off and the carrier is spot on - I'm going to be camping so really useful to have flat platform. I'll check the spokes tomorrow and keep an eye on them. Got it from Chorley!!

Nice bike. Enjoy.

The S10 is, in my opinion, the most underrated bike on the UK market at the moment, but the word is slowly spreading.

Strange thing i've noticed about them........

they are heavier than other similar bikes but mine feels lighter!

They don't have the same power as other similar bikes, but mine feels quick (and that's while being careful during initial running in)!

So, what's that all about :nenau

They look bright

Looks like there needs to be a bit of adapting for the S10 bulb cover so bit unsure otherwise i'd join the club and blind everyone :D

My mate has a K1300 and at night I can't ride in front of him as they blind me.......still reckon his lights need adjusting (downwards), although he says not!!!

You really want to stick a couple of these buggers in !!

I've got just one H4 version in my KTM and it's amazing-brighter than my bloody car !!!

Wear well, i like the colour.

FYI, i havent had any issues re spokes coming loose or anything else for that matter. Only failure so far was a blown bulb.

I agree, my last bike was 80kg lighter and 30HP more and yet I feel I can hustle along as quick , maybe not at the top speeds but certainly on B roads.

Initial thoughts are that the brakes are top notch, once you calibrate your brain they haul you up as good as the big Brembos on my Aprilia, on the traction side I have read elsewhere that the long swing arm gives solid traction and a planted feel as the engine is well forward and maybe this inspires confidence?

Nailing it out of corners seems to work very well when before I would have the TCS cutting in on the Aprilia, less power maybe but I think the weight balance and wheel base are relevant too

The blue was the only colour left in the 2014 bikes but got it for less than £10k and liked it much better than the 2015 matt colours :thumb2

2 year warranty so relaxed about it :D

I'm having to hold back a bit until run in; it has that feel of wanting to go much faster.......I'm already enjoying as it is so look forward to it when can open up.......

Stick HID's in it.

I had spoke issues on my '13 bikes rear wheel. The Owners Manual says check them after every trip, I just ping them once a week or so. Only the rear seems to move.

Handling wise even if you stick it into a corner way to fast and take off half the hero blob in a split second it still feels steady as a rock even though I had to lift my foot off the peg. As for performance the wide flat torque curve is what is making the bike feel so lively. I keep hitting the rev limiter on mine as well as it just gets there so fast, nice progressive curtailment of power though.

I think it is the low CofG and plenty of low-mid range that makes it handle well and hustle along surprisingly quickly.

Mine is about 15BHP up on stock now and when nailed is fairly rapid and much more prone to setting off the TC in lower gears, although it still feels smooth and like it is going slower than it really is, the lack of any discernable power-band gives this slow and steady feel.

Sometimes I prefer the little V-Strom with its "character" and milder mid-range that builds into a bit of a revvy top end - until I need a quick overtake and after dropping two gears still struggle to make a pass the S10 would have easily made with a top gear roll on.

The S10 makes going fairly quick very easy.
