Everlasting tyre shock!

Before going abroad at the end of July, I had some new shoes fitted - Metzeler Tourance. I wanted the EXP's but Happy Robson () in York only had the front tyre, so put the old model Tourance on the rear. Mileage was 16,500.

Well the mileage is now 25,500 and I've had to have a new tyre. That's 9,000 miles before needing a new FRONT tyre - the rear's still going strong

Am I not giving it enough gas?

... I've had 14,900 out of a pair of orginal Tourances; front & rear, which was a bit odd
