windows XP, just had a new hard disc installed ( none of this makes sense to me, i'm a computer dunce), and the image on the screen is bigger than it was, its not that box thing with two squares in the top right corner. For instance; when reading the threads i have to move the screen along to read it all, i didn't have to do this before, do you understand what i mean, and my list of favourite is to long to see all at once, i have to scroll the screen down, i didn't have to before. any ideas or direction to point me in.

Thanks.

Neil

Try resetting your screen resolution.

Go to desktop.
Right click mouse
select properties
Go to the settings tab

You will see a slider with screen resolution
The higher numbers eg. 1280 by 1024 will get more information on the screen

see if that works.

found it, spot on Derek, cheers , i'm a happy bunny.

It's the screen that comes up when you first start up with all the application icons..

But you can get there by hitting the minimising button of all of the open windows you have.
Do this by going to the top right hand corner of all the applications you have open...
you have the X box, the 2 overlaid squares box... and a box with a - in it... click that one on each of the open applications... this should get you back to "the desktop".
