exhaust bracket

hey has anyone had this before on cleaning my 02 adventure the other day ready for next week in Scotland I found the silencer mounting lugs broken off the rear foot peg bracket.and was told by my 3 nearest dealers they could not do anything for me until mid to late Sept and I should just get them welded back on the lugs are part of the rear subframe

And then there were three..........

Had the same a couple of months ago on my 1150GS.
Resulted in a complete new rear sub frame on warranty.
This was sorted out by Rainbow in about three working days !!
Some one else on this board had the same thing, might have been Pint6x. I'm not sure what the outcome was there.
Are you running any after-market exhaust bits? Mine broke when I was using the OE can with a Remus Y-piece. Apparently there is a little stress imposed as a result of a not quite perfect fit. I had to fit a Revolution can to sort this
Have a good look at the collector box elbow if your can has been "bouncing" it may be cracked DAMHIK

yes Simon I have a remus Y piece with std can but it has been on for 8000 mile and fitted on like a glove even when I found the broken lugs they were perfectly in line and had I not been washing the can with the sponge and moved it you couldnt tell it was bust with the eye my local dealer says they will put on a new subframe and I have mig welded them back on for now good job I took some pics as when painted you cant tell
