Exhaust collector box baffles rattling

Just a side note, i removed the OEM collector from the HPN thinking it would save weight..Im not sure it made any difference to the running, but it was a lot louder with the Y piece. I'm now back to the OEM collector.

Thanks for this Madhatter. I would but as the rest of the bike is in such good condition, I really want to fit something that is in equivalent condition. Interesting though as it appears this is a chromed component not stainless steel.

I thought that was odd too because the end can is stainless.

AFAIK the OE collector box and silencer on all G/S and GS were mild steel - don’t know about the Basic.
