CAN ANYBODY HELP:tears I just bought my 2004 r1200gs. Its a uk import so the nuts and bolts were covered in rust and they were also corroded from the salt on the roads. I wanted to replace them but I couldnt get the two bottom nuts out from the front of the engine because of the exhaust across the engine. I tried to take off the exhaust from the cylinder head, but to my horror the first nut snaped off shortly followed by the second. Now there is nothing holding on the exhaust to the cylinder head. I know there will be too much air getting into engine now and this will make it run too rich. HELP :help

Sorry to hear that... looks like you will have to use an extractor set. Simple to use... they come in sets... and are available in most good motor accessory shops.

Simply drill into whats left of the bolt the use the extractor to extract the bolt.

Something to note.... use penetrating oil and try to tighten the bolt first... then try to loosen it.... works for me every time.....

Good luck
