Expedition Persia and Middle-East pt II, in monochrome

Margus,
Along with all the others I thank you for sharing your pictures with us, they are terrific.
I was trying to see what sort of camera you used, Mir, I found some 35mm on line which look a bit like Contax or early Leicas but I did not find a photo of MF Mirs, is it like an early Hasselblad?
35mm lens is amazing, I presume you use a red filter for the mono, where does it fit on the 35mm fish eye front or back?
You should get these shot up in an exhibition some where, try the Photographers Gallery in London, your shots are right up their street.

all the best,

Got authorization from the mullah ("muslim priest") to get into one of the mosques - non muslims aren't allowed into most of mosques there.

A view to the vast Iranian plateau. Looks rather like a landscape on the Moon... Fantastic view from the first steep and high mountain slope we found

img388.jpg

Zagros Mountains, Iran. You can see it is so hot that the far mountains dissipate into hot air - it was mostly 30 to 35 degrees Celsius heat there every bloody day, in the Dasht-e-Kavir desert there was even much more - more than +40C!
