Hi,
I started losing reception from my external aerial (a Garmin Ga25) to my 2610 ... and when I took a look I found that the male pin end from the external aerial connector had broken off into the 2610
Searching on the web - it seems that these mcx connectors aren't that reliable ... and some have broken in such a way as you can get the broken pin out, resulting in a the unit having to be sent back to Garmin
A pair of tweezer managed to get mine out, luckily!
So, I guess I need a new mcx male plug - would one be easy to refit to the cable? Maybe it'd be better to put a break into the cable and fix in two connectors that'd be better suited to repeated use?
Any ideas
