Just thought I'd pass on some info on a set of LED lights that I got delivered this morning. I ordered them off eBay - 150302541837 if anyone is interested.

Usually I find that cheapo LEDs are exactly that - cheap and not very bright. These cost around $28 delivered to Ireland. These come with a modulater box to make the lights flash but I cut that out of the system as it's a bit useless. The modulator box doesn't remember the mode it was in when power is lost so you have to manually press the button on the box to get them flashing again. I just wired the lights straight to a 12v power supply.

They are also quite directional, but I'm fine with that as it's the traffic directly behind that I want to alert.

Bright and cheap. I ordered a second set so I'll use both - one set as rear fog lights and the other as brake lights.

John,

You may want to change your PM settings ........

Thanks for your PM though - I tried to send you this reply

" John,

That post was nearly 2 months ago! You have been beaten to them by another tosser from this parish, sorry

(Frankly I didn't rate them as being either particularly robust or bright - I am trying to source some 3G LED's that (alledgedly) give nearly twice the light output - more effective in poor light conditions.)

Best

Steve"
