F 650 GS scratch repairs

Hi there,

recently bought a F 650 GS black, and managed to scratch the bodywork where the petrol tank is. Is there any way that this can be repaired without too much hassle. any polishes that anyone knows of that might do the trick?

P.S. AutoGlym Colour Restorer will probably do it as long as you`re very careful....finish with AutoGlym Crystal Wax.

Hi Pieter and welcome.

I have moved your post to the 650 section of the site.

That's the trouble with a black bike, every little mark seems to be very noticeable. I have a black 1150 myself.

Tarka's suggestion is good, but be very careful as you wouldn't want to make a small scratch appear worse.

I've used BMW's touch-up paint on the front mudguard. Cost about £8 for the paint and primer.
