F650 & F800 meet at grampian m/c convention

Wondering if any forum members fancy a meet at the Alford MC Convention

never been before but look a good day out.

Could meet there at say 12:00.

This year though I'll be about to hit the Alps at around midday

Meeting

I'll be there, mixed in with a bunch of Blackbird riders. I'm still allowed to as I used to have a couple. The GS shows them how far you should be going on a gallon of fuel.

Alford MC Convention

Local clubs application for entry into the Moped Mayhem (sorry, Marathon ) has just been posted off, so I guess I'll have to attend!
Not personally racing this year - damaged knee earlier this year, plus I took one heck of a battering last year means my self-preservation gland is working over time telling me "Noooooooo"
Look out for me manning the Moray Coast Motorcycle Club stand, probably be on the far side of the track from the main stand. There or I'll be belting bent bits of moped back into shape in between heats .
Ride wise, I'll be on either the F8GS or my luverly Green & Yellow (some call it babypoo yellow) Africa Twin.

Managed to Make Alford,

What a day, was very impressed with Mopeds mayhem, good day out.

Met a friend there who was originally from Grimsby so he could translate what Guy Martin was saying......Full credit to Guy he got stuck in to the racing.

SteveT saw you 800 there with its new bash plate, but couldn’t see a Moray Coast MC Tent, After seeing you Scott Oiler would have liked a chat. I won’t to put one on mine but following the other thread on heare

PS Imodium work well, just wondering when the effects will ware of...

Back from the North

How hot was it that day ! I saw two of the 800's parked in the carpark (which was full to max) I found a spot when a car moved on and me and two others dropped straight in.

I took of about 1 and went up the coast, met up on the off chance with two of the Blackbird lot at Banff then up to Cullen for an ice cream


1500 miles of Scottish rain later and the bike needs a serious clean.
