F650 gs Dakar (2000) Rear axle nut/washer

Hi,
I've just noticed that my rear axle was coming off. The nut and washer on the left side is gone. Would anybody know the size of the nut because I was told M14x1.5 by BMW, I got that but it's too small. I just want to put a temporary one until I get the original from BMW which takes a while.

RealOem lists it as a M16x1.5 (part no. 22).
