F650 TWIN REPLACEMENT

and here is the first pic of the F650 replacement fitted with the F800 TWIN engine . now if they can keep the price of this to around the same as the old f650 single, they will sell load,s .

Personally,i dont like it, it seams more of a roady type bike, roady type tyres, roady type exhaust position, looks limke a bmw Versys....
 
Yea but think gs and Dakar.... Just stick longer forks and a 21 inch front wheel, bash plate higher rear suspension and knobblys, hand guards screen etc. seat does look off roadish . I agree about the silencer though..:rob
 
Bad move from BMW. The whole beauty of the 650 is that it has a SINGLE CYLINDER engine, with all the associated benefits of light weight, simplicity (apart from when you want to fit a Scottoiler - see thread!).

By moving to a twin, IMHO they are moving too far from the "jack of all trades" appeal of the current F range and hunting for a different audince. Maybe that's what the bean counters in Munich are demanding, but if they change to the twin the current F buyer would be a bit stuck. I see the other 650G series (G-X etc) as aimed at a different market....
