Rode 230 miles round trip from Hexham round the Dales this week and suffered so much arse and back pain I could not repeat it until the standard seat has been ditched or modified. This despite the trusty Airhawk. I am considering the BMW Comfort seat (£261) or having the Plank modified by Saddle Works in South Shields. They are quoting £150 top whack. If anybody in the NE has the Comfort seat or a modded seat it would be much appreciated if I could have a sit and try on it, comfort is subject to personnal preference but it would be good to try before handing a cheque to BMW. Now for the steroid cream.

We did a 450 mile day last month in France, wife on her 650, about 10 mile before we got to hotel, I happened to mention I had arse ache..(I was on a corbin seat :D).......Car,nt repeat what she said :D:D

Thanks for replies Chaps. I should have referred to SaddleCraft not Saddle works. Les is back on about Aug 11th and if anybody local has had a Plank conversion I would appreciate a sit upon.

I find the seat on mine quite comfy, ok, I've only done 1300 miles and have only a 75 mile commute, but still not been bothered yet...maybe next year when we go to Rome?
