I am looking to do some mods on my '03 F650GS :bounce1

I saw TT and Wunderlich offer WIRTH and WILBERS fork springs, to "improve" (they say :D) the bike's handling either on and off road.

Is there any of You who has tried this option?

Is it worth it? :nenau

Which of the two brands would you choose and why ? :nenau

Thanks :thumb

I have the Wirth springs in the front of my GS & can confirm that they do improve the handling.

You could save £20 by buying them from www.hagon-shocks.co.uk instead of TT or Wunderlich.

I cannot comment on the Wilbers springs, except to say that I have been mistaken for them on more than one occasion. :mmmm

I have had the TT springs in mine with 10w oil and they improve the off road manner's no end, still a basic fork at the end of the day though.

When I replaced my fork seals last year I used 10W Castrol - 610 ml x leg.

Can you tell me how much oil it's required to fill a Standard F650 GS with these different Stiffer springs ?

Is it the same amount as the original ?

Standard Dakar handles just fine IMHO. Don't know about the GS but would suspect it's the same. Stay on the throttle and don't brake, works a treat :D:D:D
