mrs msgs1200's 650 had an unfortunate bike/hedge/field interface last weekend. The bike is beyond economic repair, and we're waiting the insurance offer now.

If anyone on here is interested, I'd be willing to buy it back and sell on for parts, or an ambitious repair.

It's an 02 in yellow, and before said mishap was a very pretty and well looked after bike with 9000 genuine miles from new fitted with a brand new pair of TKC80's.
Engine, wheels, seat, rear rack and rear plastic, shocks etc. all OK but if anyone's interested, pm me and you can take a peek at the assessors report.

mrs msgs1200, you'll be pleased to know, is fine apart from some interesting coloured bruises and some embarrassment:o

Oh dear, hope she's not too beaten up, and suffers no ill effects.

Have you thought about rebuilding the bike yourself? I'd be happy to offer any help or advice I can.

good luck with the insurance.

Val.

Thanks Val, she's fine apart from the bruises...

To everyone that's PM'd me, I'm not ignoring you, it's just thsat we haven't heard back from the assessors yet with the category of write off etc.

I'll update as soon as we hear - they inspected it last Monday and apparently have 5 working days which gives then until Tuesday 26th:nenau

If you're interested do pm me as I will respond in order of people who have contacted me.

thanks,

watch for an update:thumb2

Just an update, the assessor finally (over a week later) got back to me. They made an offer for the bike. I asked about salvage and they wanted £900:eek:

I'm sure they've already promised it to a breaker, but I'd only think it worthwhile at a third of that and I don't have the energy to argue, so game over I'm afraid.

Thanks to everyone that expressed an interest,
