Does anyone know / remember what the original fitted tyres are / were for a new F650GS please ?
I'm a cheapskate who buys secondhand you see so I don't know what tyres were on the bike when it was new.
I'm trying to get a certificate of conformity for my 2002 bike and I'm being asked all sorts of, in my view, totally ridiculous questions and the current one is about tyres.
I've got to fill in a 10 box tyre id. for both front and rear tyres and yes, all the boxes must be completed.
When asked the same question a couple of weeks ago there were only 9 boxes and no, I don't have a clue why it has changed.
The first few boxes are easy ie 130/80 17 but after that I'm not sure although a check to the garage in daylight may reveal a little more.
Anyway, I'm waffling now so does anyone know what the original tyres were please ?
Thank you.

My Dakar had Metzeler Sahara 3s but I'd guess the GS would have Tourances?

Brilliant, thank you.

And I've got 10 boxes to fill in for avant and arriere (front and rear) so looks like the following will fit very neatly -
100 90 19 57S and
130 80 17 65S.
Thanks again, most appreciated.

Tyres

Just to confuse this slightly, there were three makes of tyres on GSs when imported to UK, all of which were "approved" & the bikes could be supplied with any of the three:-

Metzeler Tourance

Michelin Anachee

Bridgestone Trailwing

The Metzeler was most common, but the other two were fitted.
